GREAT LEADERS AREN’T BORN. THEY’RE BUILT.
Bridge Builders Houston invites high school students to join us for a transformative, week-long residential experience at the University of Houston, taking place June 15–19, 2026. Open to students currently in grades 9–12, the program provides all participants with on-campus housing and dining, creating an immersive college-life environment that encourages independence, collaboration, and community building.
Throughout the week, students participate in experiential learning activities, round-table discussions, and collaborative challenges designed to help them grow as leaders in Houston and beyond. Each experience is intentionally structured to build bridges across cultural, racial, and socioeconomic differences while equipping students with the skills to engage thoughtfully with people whose experiences differ from their own.
Our program develops essential skills such as leading through complexity, communicating effectively, critical thinking, and achieving results within diverse teams. Students also gain exposure to postsecondary pathways, workforce readiness, and the confidence to navigate new environments. By living and learning together on a college campus, participants strengthen their sense of belonging, expand their perspectives, and form lasting relationships with peers from across the region.
Ultimately, Bridge Builders empowers students to recognize common ground across different backgrounds, celebrate and leverage each individual’s strengths, and return to their schools and communities as more empathetic, informed, and effective leaders.

Houston needs Bridge Builders and Bridge Builders need you.
